Welcome to the MyCaringLink Community web site for Rafel, Margie, Marc and Lars Lucea. The "Ironman" in our family faced a different kind of endurance test from January 2013 to July 2015. . . Rafel had surgery on 1/25/13 to remove a malignant brain tumor (glioblastoma multiforme). In the 2.5 year battle, he went through 4 brain surgeries, 2 rounds of chemo and radiation, clinical trials and more. He fought valiantly, always with the hope of being an outlier. This site has been our lifeline to our community throughout his fight, in his death, and now in his memory. We send updates on the family and any news that we have.
